MIPRC Submits Comments to STB re: OTP and Amtrak Preference

In December 2015, the Surface Transportation Board issued a proposed rule regarding on-time performance (OTP) under Section 213 of the Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act of 2008. It also issued a proposed policy statement regarding the term "preference" within US Code, defining Amtrak's legal preference over freight transportation.

Comments on the first issue (OTP) were due Feb. 8 and comments on the second issue were due Feb. 22. MIPRC submitted comments on both topics. To view the commission's input on OTP, please click here. To read MIPRC's comments on "preference," please click here.
